Life is not fair. Some people are born with great advantages and others are born with major disadvantages. This is a fact of life that we are faced with from birth…and one that African Americans are all too familiar with.

Being disproportionally affected by diseases, unemployment, divorce, crime, failing education systems (the list goes on and on) are facts that African Americans...

Keep it Fresh is a campaign by and for young people from across the country. We recognize the problems facing our neighborhoods, the power of hip-hop to be a force for positive change in our communities, and our potential to create real solutions right now.

In communities across the country, people are struggling. Families are struggling to make ends meet due to joblessness and low wages. In these same communities, children struggle to breathe because their neighborhoods are plagued with industrial pollution. Across the country people suffer the burden of pollution and poverty. Green The Block is a national campaign aimed at helping low-income communities of color address the many environmental issues affecting our cities and towns and to become a driving force a new clean-energy economy. It is a long-term campaign grounded in regular people like you stepping up to educate and engage our communities so we can effectively join together with our neighbors, community organizations, and businesses to take action block by block!
